I grew up in Essex and moved to Nottingham after a gap year teaching English in Thailand to study Medicine.

After house jobs in Derby I spent 6 months working in New Zealand before returning to the UK.

I had a number of hospital jobs whist I finally decided between anaesthetics and general practice and joined a GP training programme in the Wyre Forest qualifying in 2009. One of my training posts was at Stourport Medical Centre and I joined them again as a salaried GP in 2012.

It was the variety of the job that drew me to General practice – I love the fact that we see all age ranges from days old to over 100, all so different with different needs.

I have a special interest in women’s health and I am the lead for Women’s Health for the Wyre Forest Health Partnership. I carry out a regular family planning clinic, fitting coils and implants. I also enjoy teaching and have recently become a GP trainer.

I am married with two girls who are primary school age who keep me pretty busy. In my free time I love being outdoors – walking, biking, running and gardening. I also enjoy yoga, seeing friends and family and a good book.
